Amend pay status

What do the letters mean against the employee in amend pay?

When reviewing amend pay, you may notice some employees have a letter against them in the status column. Below is a breakdown of what those letters mean.

  • a: An adjustment has been calculated by the system due to a change. Such as a retrospective NI adjustment.

  • A: An adjustment has been entered by the User. Via the adjustment button or changes to the P11 history.

  • C: An employee will reach pensionable age in the current period.

  • D: Employee is on a trade dispute status, causing tax refunds to be withheld.

  • h: An apprentice on NI letter H is turning 25 in the current period.

  • H: The employee has been holiday advanced.

  • J: New starter in the current period.

  • L: Leaver in the current period.

  • m: Employee aged over 21 on NI letter M.

  • M: Parental pay details entered on the parental pay tab in amend pay.

  • S: Sickness in the current period.

  • X: Employee on NI letter X is turning 16 in the current period.
