Incorrect auto hourly and daily rates

The auto hourly or daily rate is calculating incorrectly for an employee.

There may be times when the auto hourly or daily rate is incorrect for an employee, for example, if they've worked overtime.

To recalculate the rates, follow the steps below.

πŸ“ŒNote: If the employee has a mid-month salary change and you need to keep the current rates for this period, we recommend you do this after period end.

  1. Take a backup of your data.

  2. Click Payroll, then click Pay Elements.

  3. Under Actions, click Recalculate.

  4. Click Auto Pay Elements, then select the AUTO DAILY RATE check box.

  5. Select the AUTO HOURLY RATE check box, then click Next.

  6. Clear the check box for any employees you don't want to update.

  7. Click Recalculate, then click Finish.

Once you've done this, if you've already run the payroll for the current pay period, you need to run the payroll again.
