There may be times when the auto hourly or daily rate is incorrect for an employee, for example, if they've worked overtime. To recalculate the rates, follow the steps below.

Things to consider:

  • The auto hourly and auto daily pay elements must be included in the employee's standard pay for the rate to be calculated.

  • Only pay elements with Use for Daily Rate Calculation will be included in the pay elements calculation.

  • If the employee has a mid-month salary change and you need to keep the current rates for this period, we recommend you do this after period end.

  1. Take a backup of your data.

  2. Click Payroll, and then click Pay Elements.

  3. Click Recalculate, and then click Auto Pay Elements.

  4. Select the check boxes required.

    • Auto Daily Rate

    • Auto Hourly Rate

  5. Click Next.

  6. Clear the check box for any employees you don't want to update.

  7. Click Recalculate, then click Finish.

Once you've done this, if you've already run the payroll for the current pay period, you need to run the payroll again.
