To pay an employee, first you need to assign a pay element. If the employees already have pay elements assigned, move on to edit pay elements in amend pay to edit what is already assigned.
Add a pay element to an employee
Click Payroll, then click Employees.
Select the relevant employee, then click Standard Pay.
Click New Pay Element, in the code field, and enter the pay element name, if known.
Click the search
icon, double-click the relevant pay element.
Enter the rate and quantity, then click Save and Close.
Repeat steps 3 to 5 for each pay element required.
Edit a pay element in amend pay
Viewing the employee in amend pay shows you the earnings and deductions for the employee within the current period.
Click Payroll, then click Run Payroll.
Click the employee on the right-hand side, select the relevant pay element.
Click the General tab, then amend the rate and quantity.
Click the Calculate tab to preview the earnings and deductions for the period.
