If you need to refund a student or postgraduate loan, first, you will need to know the earning period to date for the relevant pay frequency. To do this, follow the sections below.
Earnings period to date
If you already know the earnings period to date for the required pay frequency, move on to the next section.
Click System, and then click Pay Frequencies.
Select the relevant pay frequency, then click Open Pay Frequency.
Find the line for the previous period, and note down the Earnings Period To date.
Process refund
πNote: If the relevant repayment checkbox is not selected, the refund will not be processed.
Click Payroll, and then click Employees.
Find and select the required employee.
Click Open Employee.
Select the relevant checkbox.
Repaying Student Loan.
Repaying Postgraduate Loan.
Enter the required information.
Repayment Type:- If required, select the repayment plan type.
Repayment Start Date:- The original start date of the loan.
Repatment Stop Date:- The earnings period to date for the previous period.
Click Save and Close.
