If you believe the OMP value calculated by SelectPay is incorrect, you can check the calculation yourself using the same formula. To do this, review the sections below.
View the rule
Click System, and then click Occupational.
Click Parental Pay, then select the relevant rule.
Click Open OPP.

OMP = (Daily Rate x Contracted days x OMP weeks to pay x Percentage of pay)
Plus SMP is selected
OMP = Daily Rate x Contracted days x OMP weeks to pay x Percentage of pay
Capped at full pay selected
OMP = (Daily Rate x Contracted days x OMP weeks to pay x Percentage of pay) - SSP
Automatically reduce salary is selected
OMP Gross Reduction
The pay element OMP Gross Reduction will be included for the employee, which will reduce the employee's earnings.
πNote: OMP Gross Reduction will remain until the parental record is finished, regardless of whether the employee is due occupational pay.
OMP Gross Reduction = Daily Rate x Contracted days x SMP weeks to pay
OPP Gross Reduction
OPP Gross Reduction = Daily Rate x Contracted days x OPP weeks to pay
