When starting a new tax year, we recommend reviewing the pay frequency dates and making corrections before processing your first period. To review and amend these, follow the steps below.

📌Note: If you pay early over the Christmas period, you must report your normal or contractual payment date on your full payment submission.

Things to consider before making changes:

  • If you have already submitted an FPS, don't change the date and submit another. HMRC may see this as two payments in the same period.

  • If the period has been closed, the pay date can't be amended.

  • If you pay early over the Christmas period, report your normal contractual payday on the FPS.

  1. Click System, then click Pay Frequencies.

  2. Select the required pay frequency, and click Open Pay Frequency.

  3. Hover over the Pay Date field, and select the required date from the calendar.

  4. Repeat step 3 for each period you need to change.

  5. Click Save and Close.
