The error message, string or binary data would be truncated, is caused by a field containing too many characters. The two fields are department names and PDF passwords. To resolve the error, follow the steps below.
Department name
Department names can be a maximum of 50 characters, including spaces.
Click System, and then click Department.
Select any that are over 50 characters.
Click Open Department.
Edit the department code to be 50 characters or less.
Click Save and Close.
