If you are running into the error message, invalid pointer or system out of memory exception when producing a large number of payslips, it can be caused by a large company logo.
Payslips and reports are produced via Crystal Reports, which is a separate piece of software not supported by The Access Group. This software does have limitations when large images are involved; the memory limit for the Crystal application is 2GB.
Possible resolutions:
Use a company logo with a smaller file size in the .BMP format.
Remove the image altogether when producing the payslips.
Producing your payslips in smaller batches, such as by department.
Set a default printer
Click Payroll, and then click Employees.
Click Home, and then click Print.
📌Note: Ensure the Name field contains an accessible printer. If no printers are available, select Microsoft Print to PDF.
Click the Name drop-down.
Select the relevant printer.
