Importing historic sickness

How can I import historical sickness data for a TUPE transfer into payroll?

Historical sickness can be imported via the SelectPay Importer when employees are TUPE transferred into the payroll.

These are the mandatory fields required to import historical sickness.

  • Employee Code

  • Sick From

  • Sick To

These are additional fields, if required, to import historical sickness.

  • Calculate YTD SSP

  • Qualifying Week Pattern

  • Reason Override

  • Sick From Fraction

  • Sick To Fraction

Below is a table showing the accepted values for each field and a working example.

1 or A = A - Can claim benefit that has been claimed before.

2 or B = B - Contract of employment has expired.

3 or C = C - Contract of employment has been brought to an end.

4 or D = D - 28 weeks SSP has been paid in the current linked PIW.

6 or E = E - Average pay too low.

7 or F = F - Expecting a baby or has just had a baby.

8 or G = G - Current PIW links back for more than 3 years.

9 or H = H - First day of PIW was during an industrial dispute.

10 or I = I - In legal custody or sentenced to imprisonment.

11 or J = J - Working outside of the UK.

12 or K = K - Not started working yet.
