Create a pay frequency

Set up a new pay frequency to process alongside the currently active frequency.

A separate pay frequency may be required to process both monthly and weekly employees on the same payroll database. To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Click System, and then click Pay Frequencies.

  2. Click New Pay Frequency and enter a frequency name.

  3. Click the Base Frequency drop-down and select the relevant option.

  4. Click the Current Period drop-down and select the correct period.

  5. Adjust the earnings period from, to and pay dates as required.

  6. Click Save and Close.

Now that the new frequency has been created, current employees can be manually moved over.
