To update the nominal ledger in Dimensions from payroll, you'll need to set up a link between the databases. To do this, follow the steps below.
📌Note: If you are a hosted customer, this must be carried out by a consultant. You can request this through your account manager.
SelectPay Administrator
Log in using an administrator account to the server hosting SelectPay.
Press the Windows key and search for 'SelectPay Administrator'.
Click SelectPay Administrator, and click the Database tab.
Click Access Dimensions Link Setup, enter the required information.
Servername \ SQL instance name.
Dimensions database name.
User account.
Click Ok, repeat step 4 for each Dimensions database.
Linking specific databases
Log in using an administrator account to the server hosting SelectPay.
Press the Windows key and search for 'SelectPay Client'.
Click SelectPay Client, and log in using a payroll administrator account.
Click System, and then click Application Configuration.
Click System Configuration, and then the Account Database tab.
Enter the required information.
Servername \ SQL instance name.
Dimensions database name.
User account, that has SA SQL permissions.
Click Test Connection, and then click Save and Close.
