Submit Class 1A NICs

Submit class 1A NICs to HMRC for payrolled benefits.

If you provide payroll benefits to your employees, you must produce a P11D(b) and submit this to HMRC by 6 July. To submit a P11D(b) to HMRC, follow the steps below.

πŸ“ŒNote: HMRC only allow one P11D submission per tax year.

  1. Click Payroll, and then click Expenses & Benefits.

  2. Click Class 1A NIC, ensure the tax year is correct.

  3. Click Next, and then click the destination dropdown.

  4. Click Export, and then click the format dropdown.

  5. Click Excel (data only), and then click the output dropdown.

  6. Click File, and then click Next.

  7. Browse to your desired save location, and click Save.

  8. Click Next, and then click the BACS format dropdown.

  9. Click the desired format, and then click Browse.

  10. Browse to your desired save location, and click Save.

  11. Click Next, and then click Finish & Submit.
