To pay SSP and reclaim it from HMRC, you will need to create a parental leave record for the employee. To do this, follow the steps below.
โ ๏ธImportant: Don't enter a payment finish date until the parental record has finished paying.
Click Payroll, and then click Employees.
Find the select the required employee.
Click Parental Pay.
Click the type drop-down and select the required leave option.
If you use occupational rules, click the magnifying glass
icon.Double-click the required rule.
Enter the known information.
๐คTip: The following fields are required to generate pay.
Expected date of birth.
First day of leave.
Week 1 payment start.
Click Save and Close.
๐Note: You can come back into the parental record and add further information as you receive it.
