Error: 'The employee record limit has been reached'

When trying to add a new employee we get the error: The Employee record limit for the unlock assigned to this database has been reached.

The error occurs when the number of active employees exceeds the employee count specified on your payroll license key. To check your current employee count, follow the steps below.

Check your license key

To increase the number of employees or concurrent users on your license, you will need to contact your account manager, as this may incur a charge.

πŸ“ŒNote: The number of users is the total number logged in simultaneously.

  1. Click the SelectPay logo, then click Start Up Screen.

  2. Click the About Access SelectPay tab.

    • The number of employees is in brackets next to the payroll module.

    • The number of users is on the same row, under the No.Users, column.
