Shared parental leave (ShPL) allows parents to share leave after the birth of a baby or adoption. During their ShPL, they may also be eligible to receive ShPP.

To set up ShPP in SelectPay, follow the steps below.
Click Employee List then double-click the relevant employee.
Under Management, click the Parental Pay tab.
Open the employee's pre-existing SMP, SPP, or SAP.
In the Curtailment Date field, enter the date before the ShPP will start.
πNote: The mother needs at least two weeks of SMP before ShPP can start.
If the option appears, select whether you've received evidence for the ShPP.
If you've selected Yes, click Shared Information then enter the details.
Under Person, select whether the employee, partner, or both are using ShPP.
To see the number of weeks of ShPP, check the Weeks Remaining field.
Click Save.
