How to enable Digital Employment Verification for SelectPay

J
Written by Jordan Hutchinson

Digital Employment Verification integration in SelectPay enables employees to securely, and only at their discretion, share verified employment and income details for financial services like mortgages. Employees must consent for each application, ensuring full control over their data.

📌Note:

  • This option is available to hosted SelectPay customers only. If you are an on-premise customer, this feature is not available.

  • This setting is enabled by default; if you wish to opt out, you will need to change the setting manually.

Enable Digital Employment Verification

  1. Click System, and then Application Configuration.

  2. Click System Configuration, and then click Digital Verification.

  3. Select the checkbox, Enable Digital Employment Verification.

  4. Select the checkbox, Submit previous 12 months data.

  5. A warning will appear: Are you sure you want to submit data for the previous 12 months?

    • This is important to ensure that up to 12 months of data is available where required as part of the employee’s request to use the Digital Employment Verification service.

  6. Click Yes, and then click Save & Close.

Payslip data will be sent to the data store when period end is run.

  • If Submit previous 12 months data is ticked, the historic payslip data will be sent in the background and may take some time before it is available to the bank/financial institutions.

📌Note: Turning this on means that employees will be able to securely share required payslip data to expedite application processes. Employees' data will be made available only if the employee consents to this as part of their engagement with their financial institution.

Digital Employment Verification was auto-enabled for UK Payroll hosted customers from 7th May 2024.
