The SelectPay Service generates the error, padding is invalid, which can be caused by a brief disconnect between the service and the client, or the service user has incorrect credentials. Wait a few minutes before trying to submit again. If the error persists, follow the relevant steps below.

You will need to update the user credentials for the service user. To do this, follow the steps below.
๐Note: Ensure all users are logged out before making changes to the SelectPay service.
Log in to your server that hosts the SelectPay service.
Click the Windows icon and search for services.
Click Services, and right-click the current SelectPay service.
๐คTip: The SelectPay service contains its release year in the title; if you have multiple, select the current tax year.
Click Properties, and then click the Log On tab.
Update the credentials for the listed account.
Click Apply and then click Ok.
If updating the user credentials doesn't fix the issue, try using another domain account that has full administrator privileges to both the SelectPay server and SQL server.
